The Streets & School Unity

The Streets & School Unity Program is offered in elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as recreation centers, and is designed to help students build essential life skills and social awareness. The program includes three main parts.

  1. StaySolid MH Social Emotional Learning Curriculum runs over nine weeks, focusing on skills like active listening, communication, self control, respect, making friends, resolving conflicts, handling peer pressure, and preventing conflicts before they start.

  2. Trauma Informed Care Groups help students understand how trauma affects people and teach ways to manage challenges such as anger, stress, conflict, and communication issues.

  3. Life Development Curriculum focuses on helping students set goals, build resilience, and develop positive self identity. It provides practical tools for handling real life situations and making thoughtful decisions that support long term personal growth.

The program’s goal is to equip students with resilience, empathy, and effective coping skills for personal and social success. Ultimately, it aims to reduce school violence and enhance students academic achievement and overall well being.
