Golden Rule Venture is committed to equipping the youth, young adults, and residents of the Golden Rule Apartment community in NW Washington, DC, with essential life skills, emotional support, and enriching experiences through a range of programs and events, including the following:

Art Therapy is held three days a week, providing a creative outlet for youth to learn how to express their emotions through art. Through guided sessions, participants explore their feelings, develop proper coping skills, and enhance communication skills. This process helps them understand their emotions and find constructive ways to seek support.

Tutoring for Youth offers academic support to young residents, helping them strengthen their skills, boost their confidence, and succeed in school. Our dedicated tutors provide personalized assistance to ensure each child has the tools they need to thrive academically.

The Life Development Curriculum (All Grown Up) offers 60-minute weekly sessions that help participants build essential social emotional skills, such as self awareness, emotional regulation, healthy relationships, and responsible decision making. These sessions provide a foundation that Teens and young adults can carry with them throughout their lives.

Mommies & Tea is a 60-minute weekly support group for women grieving the loss of loved ones to violence. This program explores the stages of grief, facilitates personal story sharing, and encourages open group discussions within a nurturing and supportive space.

Man Time: "Let's Talk it Out" is a 60-minute weekly group designed for men to share their experiences, find ways to manage their emotions, and cope with daily traumas. This program also covers the grieving process, fosters a community of shared experiences, and promotes open, supportive conversation.

Community Events and Holiday Celebrations bring the Golden Rule Apartment community together throughout the year, fostering a sense of unity and shared joy. These events provide residents with opportunities to connect, celebrate, and build relationships in a supportive and festive atmosphere.
